Me2021

Before graduating from the University of Saskatchewan's Clinical Psychology PhD program, I explored a variety of careers (I even spent one summer roofing!). Those experiences gave me a broader perspective on life and introduced me to people from many different backgrounds. While each role taught me something valuable, I found myself searching for work that was both meaningful and fulfilling. In my twenties, I discovered psychology, and I knew I had found the career that truly fit me. Since then, I have been passionate about helping others better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives.

For more than 20 years, I have been learning, training, and practicing psychology in Saskatchewan. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of clinical, forensic, and correctional settings, providing assessment and treatment to individuals facing a wide range of mental health and life challenges. These experiences have shaped the thoughtful, practical, and compassionate approach I bring to my work.

I have experience supporting clients with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My background in forensic psychology has also provided me with extensive experience working with complex presentations, giving me a deeper understanding of the many factors that can influence a person's thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.

I believe that the foundation of effective therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. Regardless of the therapeutic approach or treatment model, feeling safe, respected, and understood is essential for meaningful change. I strive to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and comfortable exploring the challenges they are facing.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself—where you can speak openly without fear of judgment while also feeling supported, challenged when appropriate, and encouraged as you work toward meaningful change. Whether you are seeking support during a difficult time or looking to better understand yourself, my goal is to help you develop the insight, skills, and confidence to move forward.

Together, we will develop a personalized plan for assessment and/or treatment that reflects your unique needs, builds on your strengths, and supports you in working toward your goals. My role is to provide evidence-based care, practical strategies, and a collaborative space where you can gain insight, develop new skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I am a Registered Doctoral Psychologist with an Authorized Practice Endorsement, which means I am qualified to assess and diagnose mental health conditions when appropriate. I am registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (Registration #935).
